It's great to see Emma Raducanu back to her winning ways. She defeated Greet Minnen in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-4.
Paula Badosa is still struggling. 2-4 over her last 6 matches starting with Brisbane. A loss to Elena Rybakina to be fair.

This was Paula Badosa's recent match at Abu Dhabi yesterday. She lost 4-6, 6-3 and 1-6 vs. Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
There were a couple games in that first set that could've gone either way. Badosa has to take control of those games.

I'm doing my best to cheer for Badosa. She is playing hard and healthy again. But the winning results haven't arrived.
I just thought Paula Badosa would get off to a hot start in 2026. 2-4 in her 6 matches isn't what I had in mind at all.

I really thought Paula Badosa would overtake Aryna Sabalenka as my favorite WTA player. Now I'm cheering for Eva Lys.
But Eva Lys is going to miss two weeks with a hyperextended right-knee injury. I'm ready to watch Eva Lys take the court.

Emma Raducanu is off to a stellar start in this Tournament. Another impressive win today vs. Kaja Juvan.
She was down 0-5 in the first set and then won 11 games in a row. A straight set winner. 7-5 and 6-1. <3

Emma Raducanu just won again. Absolutely sensational performance. She advances to her first Semifinal of 2026. She was nearly flawless today against Maja Chwalinska. Earning a 6-0 and 6-4 straight set win. Emma Raducanu has just been playing some great Tennis at the 2026 Transylvania Open being played in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. And there haven't been any days off. It's been every day in this Tournament. Emma Raducanu will play Oleksandra Oliynykova tomorrow for a chance to reach the Final.

Also guys. I have decided on my current Top 5 players in the WTA. In no particular order. Eva Lys, Paula Badosa, Emma Raducanu, Aryna Sabalenka and Iva Jovic. There's just so much amazing talent in the WTA right now. It's difficult to pick just one favorite player. Literally the Top 100 rankings is stacked with talent. It's great to see the WTA being in a great place right now. I enjoy the WTA more than the ATP. There's always an intriguing storyline that simply captivates me with the WTA. Even the prize money the women earn is pretty good.

With Eva Lys still out for a couple weeks with her knee injury and Paula Badosa struggling to find her game.
It's great to see Emma Raducanu playing so well. I'm ready for her match at 9 AM tomorrow vs. Oliynykova.

how does she feel about your new crush, Emma Raducanu?

Aryna Sabalenka used to like a lot of my posts on X (formerly Twitter). I assume she's just busy lately but she ghosted me on social media it feels like. Perhaps I'll hear from her soon. And I have been cheering for other WTA players besides Aryna. I had even posted one time how well Elena Rybakina was playing, which is currently Aryna's biggest challenge and rival, but the fact is Rybakina has been doing a lot of winning lately and deserves her flowers.

Right now I'm in a tug of war between Emma Raducanu and Eva Lys. I love both of those players so much. They excite me every match win or lose. And I haven't even given up on Paula Badosa despite her struggles so far this season. If you ask me to name my favorite WTA player right now I just couldn't do it. I would have to give you a Top 5 list or even a Top 10 list of WTA players that I enjoy watching.

Loyalty used to be one of my strongest traits. I do feel a little guilty lately for not sticking to just one player. But I'm having fun and that's all that matters.

I've been in tears all morning because Emma Raducanu lost in straight sets (0-6, 2-6) to Sorana Cîrstea.
How can this happen guys? The 2026 Transylvania Open Final was right there for Emma. I'm feeling sad.

Sorana Cirstea is 35 years old. A wealth of experience and she had the home court advantage (fan support) playing in Romania.

I'm not even sure what can cheer me up right now. I need Eva Lys to play again. She may return this month from her knee injury.

Qinwen Zheng vs. Elena Rybakina

2026 Doha Round of 16

What an epic match today! When Qinwen Zheng is healthy she's as good as any player in the WTA.
But Elena Rybakina has literally been unbeatable for nearly half a year now. She's got that aura going.

I'm not surprised Elena Rybakina won in a thrilling three sets 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 but Qinwen Zheng was right there in the third set.

Also Emma Raducanu had the walkover in the round of 64 at Doha, Qatar. She was off to a hot at the Qatar Open.
But then she lost to Camila Osorio 6-2, 4-6 and 0-2 at the time she retired due to fatigue and low blood pressure.
