another 2nd serve to the bh, soderling pushes it wide, 30-15

another 2nd serve, soderling dictates a fh to bh rally and forces an error, 30-30

huge fh return and berdych can't get it over the net, 30-40 and a mp

long rally, berdych goes for a bh winner down the line (right shot in the situation) and misses it just wide, and soderling takes it

6-3, 3-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3

rafa breaks melzer to 4-2

thought melzer would tee off and maybe take the first set before wearing down, looks like rafa is in very good form though so far

serving very well too

melzer playing really good so far too, kind of sad that hes gotta deal with this guy

6-2 to nadal in the first, and holds to 1-0

melzer races ahead to 40-0 and then a truckload of errors leads to a break point

manages to hold though, 1-1

melzer gets broken again to 3-1

manages to break back to 3-2 after a nice backhand and a nice drop volley



feelings so far:

nadal is just pummeling with those heavy topspin fh's, serving really well too. missed a few easy overheads though.

melzer is hitting hard as well, but as the rallies become longer it only becomes a matter of time before he makes an error. guy has to be frustrated because he'll hit 3-4 good shots in a rally, nadal will run down all of them, and then he'll make an error. his serve has been on/off, and he's been trying to get to net when he has a chance with mixed results
