Fed moves forward, hits a backhand stab volley and kills it, 10-9 Fed and another Championship Point.

Fed hits another short volley, and Murray tracks it down and hits another ridiculous passing shot, 10-10

Fed dumps the FH approach shot into the net, 11-10 Murray

Huge serve out wide, unreturnable, 11-11

Fed wrong foots Murray after another serve out wide, hits the FH winner behind him, 12-11 Federer and yet another Championship Point.

Murray dumps a BH into the net, and Federer wins:

6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

Not a very exciting match i have to say. Even the third set wasnt very interesting cause it was obvious federer was going to win in the end.

Congratulations Roger Federer for winning 6-3 6-4 7-6 over Andy Murray.

Now for my opinion:

This match was the most unentertaining GS Final in the last 2 years. However, now I feel really bad for Murray after seeing him cry at the end. That was tough. Federer is ruthless.

Murray didn't even try to come forward until the 3rd set, and then only sparingly.

Biggest reason why he lost.

Eh, the least entertaining from the last few years was when Rafael defeated Rog @ RG 2008. Federer just wasn't playing or moving anywhere near his best while Nadal was playing in the form of his life. I thought this final had some glorious points even though it seemingly was one-sided and that Federer looked like he was going to win either way.

That match was awful.

If I remember right Fed only won 4 games and got slammed with a bagel set in there somewhere.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Nadal virtually crushed everyone in the whole tournament that year. He didn't lose a set the whole way. And Federer was quite nervous and not as confident coming into the match I remember, since he had lost to Nadal at both Monte Carlo and Hamburg after having big leads in a couple of the sets from both matches.
