Glory is only a figment or sensation of our success.  There's no barometer to measure it.
So for me to say, more glory is reached because of competing vs 10 other guys, as opposed to 1, is not out of the question.

I understand when you win an individual sport like tennis, you ( and maybe your coach/family/nation etc ) are the only ones receiving glory.
But does that glory hold more volume than when there's 10 other competitors attempting to encompass perfect cohesiveness?  It's all debatable.

And it's not like tennis stands alone in your argument.  I wouldn't be surprised if MMArtists feel more glory when winning ( not necessarily the new age MMA, but the grand prix and old school. )

But the thing with tennis it has so much tradition, history and prestige. Golf would be comparable in that sense as well, but to also put the necessary physical/mental toll tennis requires it makes that much more rewarding to win.

u should try boxing

all those individual aspects you mentioned + less luck

(not saying theres a lot of luck in tennis, there is some though)

Less luck? That's definately not true

A tennis match lasts so long that you can never win on luck, you have to win at least 100+ points to win a match, and in boxing you always have a chance at one lucky hit that severely damages your opponent.

I love tennis because it has every possible aspect of sports: precision, strength, speed and of course there is a tough mental aspect. There is a rich tradition in the big tournaments, there are so many different types of players and characters in the sport that no tournament is the same.

What is also keeping the sport exciting is that there are no drugs, sex or corruption scandals in tennis. Money plays no big role in tennis, unlike in about any other 'commercial' sport. It's all about the sport itself.

:)

some players play better in certain conditions, and there is a lot more diversity in conditions in tennis than boxing
