pennetta down a set just got back on serve against peer, 4-4 in the 2nd

venus killing that minella girl

simon up a break but down 2-1 in sets against kohlschreiber, that match looks like its going 5

i find myself thinking that kohlschreiber and stakhovsky have to be closely related

simon breaks to 2-1

looking forward to istomin/nadal, and my bold prediction for today is that istomin takes a set and pushes nadal hard until he comes up with the goods and istomin self-destructs

although nothing would really surprise me in that match

garcia lopez blows a 5-3 lead with a serve to come in the breaker and loses the 2nd set to almagro

oh, and sam querrey and fat dave both got through in straights

pretty fast for a 5 setter, only been out there for like 2:40

simon breaks to 6-3 to end it on a backhand winner up the line from mid court

not really a pretty match by any means, both had long lapses and dry spells and spewed errors, neither served or returned that well, both with more ufes than winners.. although you could kind of tell simon was in more of a rhythm in the final 2 sets and kohlschreiber was making stupid mistakes and not attacking 2nd serves or doing much of anything for that matter

istomin just not hitting with enough conviction

nadal not really playing too well either but if he serves well enough i don't think istomin will be able to hang with him on this day :\

istomin serves horribly, manages to erase 2 break points and then plays 2 stupid points and nadal breaks to 3-2

istomin just not playing smart here, and if he can't get his 1st serve in (% has been plummeting since the first few games) this is going to be a beat down

6-2 nadal takes the first

i sort of want to punch istomin in the face right now, he's been abused by the same 2 shot combo like 6 times so far and he still hasn't learned shit

he'll hit a short ball with little pace to nadals bh wing, but since it has no pace nadal runs around and rips a forehand (usually inside out), istomin will get to it and then hit another short ball mid-court and cheat to one side and leave nadal with an open court

he came to net a few times and got passed easily because his approach shot was simply bad, too

he also can't volley for shit apparently
