This 2026 WTA season has not been kind to me at all. I'm going to eventually find some fun again. I still love the sport.

Strasbourg is just the latest setback for me. Peyton Stearns had lost in straight sets to Daria Kasatkina. 1-6 and 3-6.
And Emma Raducanu making her much anticipated return. Also lost in straight sets. 4-6 and 6-7 (4) to Diane Parry.

I thought for sure at least one of the two would make a deep run at Strasbourg. Either Peyton Stearns or Emma Raducanu.

So now I'll just cheer for the 18-year-old American superstar Iva Jovic. She plays Emma Navarro later today at Strasbourg.

This 2026 WTA season continues to go astray and test my patience. Iva Jovic lost in three sets to Emma Navarro. 4-6, 6-4 and 1-6.
So basically all three players I was cheering for at Strasbourg all lost. LOL. So may the best winner take it all now I guess. Good luck.

Diana Shnaider made it to the fourth round at Roland Garros. She will play Madison Keys on Monday,
After Shnaider defeated Oleksandra Oliynykova in straight sets (7-5, 6-1) she devoured an ice cream. <3

Aryna Sabalenka will probably win Roland Garros (The 2026 French Open) for another Grand Slam singles title. But Diana Shnaider is hilarious and very likable. At the Charleston Open earlier this year Diana told a funny story about how she left the practice courts with her coach just after midnight. And the police pulled her over for speeding. But Diana Shnaider claims she was completely innocent and was just a passenger princess. Her coach was the one driving and warned for speeding. LOL

Anyway. I think my passion for tennis (WTA) remains very high. I just need to get back to enjoying every match and appreciating many different players. When you start to obsessively cheer for only one or two players like I've been doing this year with Paula Badosa and Peyton Stearns. To some degree Emma Raducanu and Eva Lys. It can feel very difficult if they struggle because all you want is for them to perform well and win. But in reality the WTA is full of amazing talent and there's no shortage of great matches to watch. No matter the Tournament.

The funny thing is it all comes back to Aryna Sabalenka. She continues to dominate the sport. I still like her a lot. I was just captivated by another WTA player is all.

Diana Shnaider defeated Madison Keys. 6-3, 3-6 and 6-0. A beautiful bagel in the third set. Diana was just flawless at the end.
So now on Wednesday it will be Diana Shnaider vs. Aryna Sabalenka in the quarterfinals (Final 8) at Roland Garros. Let's go!!

My mind tells me Aryna is just going to dominate in a straight-set victory. She hasn't lost a set at this French Open.
But my heart says Diana will certainly put up a good fight. This will be the very first career meeting between the two.
