don't do cardio..you'll be fine if you're the slightest bit athletic. just watch some tennis beforehand, no joke. look at their strokes, their movement, footwork, everything--and HIT A LOT OF BALLS once you begin. A TON. that's the only way you'll improve, is to continuously hit balls. best of luck, and enjoy! great life sport.
Yeah, spend lots of time with balls, remember to stroke gently but firmly.
