Semi final RG. and Final of Cincinatti(shoulder trouble). thats all he lost this year.

Best Tennis player atm yes, thats for sure, 6:0 vs Nadal ,4:1 vs Roger this year, but he needs to keep this level of tennis.

5x master titles, 3 grand slam, and 2 more tournaments> the best

actually he lost a doubles match vs sweden in DC ^^^^^^^^

probably playing as well now as anyone who has ever played.

please... nothing comes close to Federer when he was at his peak.

When it comes to GOAT Djokovic will need more than one good year to even come close to Nadal let alone Federer. He's got a long way to go and I don't think he can make it. Mark my words, he won't be #1 in the end of 2012. :)

lol.. I don't see how 'GOAT' and Djokovic are in one post even. Nadal has what? 10 GS? 1xx weeks on #1 position? Djoko has what? 3 gs and 3 weeks on #1 position?

And then I didn't even talk about Federer yet..

Federer won 3 of 4 grand slams 3 years in a row, Djokovic did that once. Federer is clearly past his best years and still is pretty much 50/50 against Djoko, he escaped from match point on US open and lost to him at Roland Garros.

Nole lost to DelPo in DC. In ATP retirement counts as loss so . . . 64-3

How all ppl can compare now and trying to type him as GOAT. He has brillant year, true but being a GOAT is sth more than just one season. He needs to stay this lvl for 2 or 3 year with so many tournaments won.

I think it's a forgone conclusion at this point. He just beat two guys who are in contention for the title of GOAT in the same tournament, battled through adversity in the final match, and won 6 matches against the world #2 this year, and won 3/4 majors. At this point in time he's the best player in Tennis. Just my $0.02

GOAT? Fuck no. Why would someone with 4 slams be considered greater than those who have won more slams than him? There are plenty with more than 4 slams and more records.
Best player in the world right now? Obviously, which is why he is ranked #1.

Will he become GOAT? Probably not considering his playing style. It'll wear him out and he is prone to big hitters. Nadal matches up extremely well for him, while Federer on the other hand is a bad match up for Novak. He was a bit lucky to come out of that SF, but all credit to him to get through and win the title.
