only ever played on hardcourts but it seems that people who are bought up on the clay courts have the dominance of world tennis atm, better at using the angles and playing a defensive game, also the clay courts are by far the most common courts in the atp and wta. i dont like the clay courts but there is no doubting it teaches a kid everything he needs to learn to become a good player, basics wise.

To be honest, uptil now playing, I felt the difference of the ball coming but not on the movement, probably only in clay you can slide...etc but with my coach I wasn't allowed to do that so, both of them are good!!

What? There's a huge difference in movement when it comes to hardcourt vs clay. Why aren't you allowed to slide on clay? It's like not being allowed to run on hardcourt

is there seriously a local place that has grass? at my local courts there is like 8 hardcourts and 4 clay courts....

We got two grass courts in my club... but it's not real grass, it's like plastic grass with sand.
