If Nadal wins, it'll be pretty ironic since Nadal will then have won 5 out of the last 6 Grand Slams but still Djokovic would be #1 on the ranking, but as of now, it looks like Djokovic wants to prove that he really deserves the #1 spot.

nadal would go back to #1 if he won though right?

Nope, Djoko has it either way.

but if djokovic wins, nadal will lose 1000 points and djokovic will gain another 1000, so yeah, it's still pretty crucial for nadal if he's planning on re-claiming the throne

well. nadal won last year meaning he has to defend his points from last year, by winning u get 2000 points and as finalist u get 1000 points

--> if he loses now, he LOSES 1000 points since he won last year, and djokovic will get more points no matter what since hes doing better this year than last so yep... thats how it works

EXACTLY as I predicted.. it's a shame I didn't post here yesterday :P

Djokovic dominating on all aspects of the game.

Even if Djoko loses he will be #1 on ranking but not nearly as convincing of course

When was the last time you've seen Nadal down 2 sets to none, and or lose a set 6-1?
