I'm guessing you read Wikipedia's page on Agassi didn't you?  Compare a match of Hewitt/Chang to Agassi.  Wearing your opponent down doesn't make you a counter-puncher/pusher, that is called playing smart.....  A counter-puncher's ability lies in his defensive skills.  Yes, Agassi had some defensive skills, but his main assets were his groundstrokes, not his legs like real counter-punchers.

You really have some strange way of labeling players.

LOL comon man, I've been playing for 10 years......

Way to dodge all of my posts about a pusher and just focus on the counter puncher comment.

How did I dodge. Did you read any of my previous posts and edits? Your definition of pusher is extremely poor and for the most part incorrect. Please, go around to USTA tournaments and call players pushers. LMK how pissed they'll get. Or even better, try calling some ATP pros pushers, even ones ranked below 200.

Tell me you enjoy watching Mardy Fish's playing style.

Tell me that it's not boring.

So just because he has played some conservative shots, which even the biggest hitters like Del Potro and Soderling do from time to time, and just because you don't like his game of trying to be an all-around player, you place him in your mind as a pusher?

Read please

http://dictionary.sensagent.com/counter-puncher/en-en/

I think you are the one that has the strange definition:

Quote
Some all-time great offensive baseliners are Ivan Lendl, Jim Courier, Andre Agassi and Monica Seles. Most players today are offensive baseliners; a few notable ones are Fernando Gonzalez, Juan Martín del Potro, Fernando Verdasco,James Blake, Nikolay Davydenko, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Kim Clijsters, Dinara Safina, Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic.

PS: I don't find any professional player's playing style boring. I like every single pro's game, even all the pros I have met at futures and challengers. They are professional for a reason.

He doesn't do it time to time, his whole entire game since he got healthy is about using his athleticism to wear down opponents, just like I've been talking about for this entire thread.

Personally, his style bores when watching. If it doesn't bore you, fine. I don't really care lol.

ok real quick, would you call Murray a counter puncher? (since apparently you can't get off the counter puncher statement lol)

Again, how can you not get this through your thick head? Since you consider a player boring, he is automatically a counter-puncher or pusher? Agassi being considered a pusher or counter-puncher is one of the most ludicrous tennis statements I have heard this entire year, and maybe almost tops off what I heard last year at all the tennis forums I'm subscribed to.

That page wasn't about merely counter-punchers. It showed the definition of different playing styles which appears you don't quite firmly understand, or refuse to understand. Murray is a clear cut counter-puncher and he does it well. Gets near winners back into play, puts a lot of returns into the court, takes advantage of any short ball immediately, doesn't try to force the issue, etc. Near Lleyton Hewitt replica.

What I can't get off, is your definition of counter-puncher, pusher, etc. What you have listed, "athleticism" "wearing down opponents" are Agassi's assets not his main weapons. That is like saying just because Murray hits a huge 90 MPH backhand makes him an offensive baseliner.

One of those guys? The kind of guy that loves, lives and breathes tennis and likes to be part of online communities of other people who love tennis the same way?

Oops, my bad

The kind of guy who believes he has superior knowledge about a topic because he trolls forums and goes out of his way to state it LOL.
