obv noobsauce is obv.

guess u dont understand that to these people sport is there life, everything in his life would revolve around tennis, its not like a hobby, he works his arse off and has made so many sacrifices for tennis and then to have something like a slam taken away from you cause of something out of your control... id cry to.

then id get my body guards to beat your arse so u can cry with me.

what are you trying to say  <_<

Well plenty of Rafatards claim Federer is a "faggot" for crying, he isn't a real champion now that he has cried, as if he isn't supposed to cry which is completely stupid. It is completely understandable for these tennis players to cry, tennis is such a mental sport.

Best wishes to Nadal, but I think the injury was over-exaggerated. I think Nadal was having a slightly off day, coupled with a possible small injury he didn't want to push which hindered his game. I mean seriously, the commentators made it seem like Nadal's leg was fucking chopped off, and Nadal got treatment outside of the court like he was getting surgery... Honestly though, had Nadal held his first service game, I don't think he would have asked for the trainer.. This isn't the first time he was in a situation where he saw he could be pushed really hard, and then call for the trainer. It is almost like reassurance for him, so in case he loses, he can blame his body. Seriously, how can he claim he has a bad injury, then either win the match or forfeit, and then be totally fine the next day/week... Petzschner/Wimbledon anyone? When you sustain a TRUE INJURY, it takes 3 weeks to fully recover, I know this from experience. I have tried to play through injuries and that aren't half as bad as the injuries Nadal claims he sustains, and I can't play through them. Unless he is juiced up with painkillers or he is a Super Saiyan.

Seriously, if he is THAT unlucky at getting injured, why doesn't he and his physio get half a brain and learn to take care of Nadal's body. My tennis physio back when I used to travel extensively to tournaments, believed that the reason why Nadal's body is suffering so badly is because he took steroids early in his career. I know Nadal has said he is always doing drug tests and stuff, so saying he took steroids is probably a bit extreme, but really, either Nadal does not know how to take care of his body or what is it. Yes, his playing style is very physical, but he isn't the only one out there.

Strong post.

Of course it's not 'gay' or whatever to cry when you achieve something you've trained for your entire life.. -_-

In a way I agree with you statement about Nadal. Everytime he exits a tournament it is because of *(or he blames it on) an injury. For years I've seen these injuries coming. Obviously when you have a playing style that requires this much of your knees and lower body muscles, there will be a point in time where you will face the consequences if you're persuing a long career. There also has been a lot of critique on the way Nadal has been training for strength from an early age when his body was actually not fully developed yet, which people now say plays a role in his injuries. Federer's playing style is the exact opposite of Nadal's. Federer's game is relatively low-energy and looks very smooth. Unless a match lasts for 5 sets you'll never see Federer sweating and moaning like Nadal does after 3.

It's not the fact that he was crying. It was the fact that he cried after winning 10 slams and like the 4th of the same (just random numbers but u get the point) so there was nothing really special about it anymore... ofc he should be happy as fuck but the crying was a bit too much... I remember he cried once after he had lost to Nadal in a final, and that I can understand because it was a really emotional time...and also when he finally won French (not actually sure if he cried there), but u know... after 4th and 5th wimbledon trophy he didn't need to cry imo.

Not that he's less of a champion or a faggot for doing it, I just thought it was slightly too much.

I think it's beautiful :) there are thousands that would kill to win that trophy, so it shows great respect to the tournament and the passion for the sport. Sometimes I nearly cry with him haha

So SeaBas, how are your tennis abilities? :D we should make some topic when we feel there are some active tennis users that even play tennis and make a video, (like a typical college video) so we can see how good everyone is :D you know, just like a 5-10min clip showing some hits/serves/volleys etc, could be fun to compare and give advice or ask question :)

Haha I would love something like that. Even though I've played since I was about 6, my tennis isn't what it used to be. In the past year I haven't played as much as I used to. I can enjoy tennis at any level though :)

Worst thing ever: My double partner quit! Which had me lose quite a bit of motivation. We won tournaments together! :(

You're quite fanatic with playing yourself right?

My double partner moved to the US and we used to win tournaments as well.. however the thing that made me lose motivation was because my private coach got married, became a father for two + he finished his master in some human development program within just six months, so suddenly he had all kinds of things to handle at once, both his own education + family, so he didn't have as much time to me anymore. :/

Yeah I used to play all the time you know, but now I just play 6 times a week (not six days) and go to the gym few times a week too so I really can't sit still :P but like you, I'm not what I used to be, I was probably at my peak 1,5 years ago but I can still play at a pretty decent level :)

Do you also have school / work? How do you manage that, 6 times a week + gym? I play about 2 times a week + Gym + some cardio, but definately all together it's not over 6 times a week average
