I've been a fan of Nadal since he burst onto the stage at 17 against Hewitt. Watching those overpowering lefty forehand winners from a kid that young was just amazing. I believe as of right now, Nadal, when his head is in the game is untouchable. I feel kind of stupid saying this but even after breaking Sampras's record, i still feel (imho, i didnt watch tennis back in the 70's so im leaving out "legends") Federer is #2 all time slightly behind Pete, and ahead of the Agassi/McEnroe/Connors/etc. It may seem like hate, but I feel that Sampras won his Grand Slams against at at time where even if Pete was 100% on his game he could lose to 4-5 other stars. Federer until about 2 years ago had NO challenge at all... and by no challenge i mean Andy Roddick. Other than this last event, it always seemed Roddick gave up before the match even started, saying shit im #2 behind Federer the best in the world.
with all that said... watch out for this kid monfils, has the power, skill, finesse, and RIDICULOUS spin, if he ever gets it all to click i think it will look like this
1. Nadal
2. Monfils
3. Federer
4. Djokovic
5. Murray
yea i left roddick of the list... until he can get his ass into shape to actually run and play tennis and not go for the screaming winner everytime... he wont be winning any grand slams anytime soon
Lol is that a joke Monfils is good but not that good wont be a top 10 player maybe in 2 years
Murray> Djokovic thats obvious
Federer is number 1 right now desrerves it not my fault you cant keep ur body intact
1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Murray
4. Djokovic
5. Roddick
i think Del Porto will get 5 back
