Anyone have a chance of beating Federer the rest of the tournament this decade?

Nadal and Safin.
Yes, Nadal beat Federer several times.
and the second name is shocking, i know.
U guys probably think, wtf Safin? Get outta here...
But,
if anyone saw Safin playin at his peak (which u will rarely see),
Safin is one hell of a person to play against when he is at his peak.
I guess Safin is still way too much immature in his game.
He cant seperate personal life from his game,
everyone has problems in their lifes,
but a real PRO should be able to seperate those,
and not let his play and the evolvement of his technique get influenced by his personal life.
He looses concentrates way to fast,
and cant control his angre at all.
So immeture in his play.
But...
if eveything goes well in life,
no problems,
no this no that,
he will wipe the court with his opponent.
But rarely...

Safin is also the person who i enjoy the most to watch,
with Roddick and Nadal close.
I truly enjoy watching these guys play.
Federer to offcourse,
but hey... not very surprising match it will be.
I just watch how he will win his match. Will he play his most elite play? Or just play average and still win.

Anyways,
i really hope to see a max'ed out (at his peak and personal peace biggrin.gif ) Safin against Federer.
The thing is, Federer is the kind of person who will play decent,
and move to a higher level of play if needed.
Federer wont just play his best game if its not needed.
So if Safin steps up, Federer will also step up,
and so on. We all know what Federer is capable of,
but certainly dont underestimate Safin.

It was a great match, but it was straight sets. That classifies as a pounding in my book. I know Roddick had a chance to win the first two, but he didn't.

when neither player breaks until the third set, it's a close match in my book

Now that Nadal is out, Davydenko is the only one that can beat Federer, although he usually doesnt play his best tennis against Federer.

Last time they met, Davydenko lost 5-7, 6-7, 6-7... that's not the worst against the world's number one player...
