I played my 2nd game ever of rift summoners. In both games there was an enemy player who completely stomped my team. Going 10-0 mid the first game and 17-0 bot with a supporting friend the second game. Is this generally what I should expect as I play my placement games and moving forward? I thought I’d be with a lot of players who are also new and still figuring things out. Instead (not only these two dominant players) it seems that many of the players clearly know what they’re doing. Is there really no place for me to play 5v5 where people don’t misrepresent their elo? Or is this an outlier experience and I just need to play more?

expect most toxic community ever, u will not have a pleasant learning experience since balance is trash atm and people level new accounts so u will get stomped by someone good all the time, everyone will give u different tips because ego is top in this game, surprisingly discord communities for new people are pretty chill i sugest finding one and asking to play thats ur best bet for not mental destroying gameplay, few tips if u still wanna play alone: disable chat in settings, learn what runes actually do its really helpful, find 1-3 champs u like learn their abilities and focus on learning basics (plenty videos on yt)
