Sending a gift card/ riot points card is against the rules. You should add each other, wait 24 hours and use the gifting system and gift the RP. That way the trade is actually logged in the Riot Client and you have evidence of a scam. Also, use a mediator to be 100% safe :)

sounds good. thanks for the heads up. i went ahead and waited since it felt a little weird to only ask at the end :)
