You hear about people have literally 20-40 game losing streaks without a single victory all the time. If mathcmaker was fair, then statistically that would not happen pretty much ever.

I think a player losing 20 games in a row or more consistently has something to do with them and not entirely their teams.

I agree but I also disagree.

Yes; I typically think someone on a 20 game losing streak is most likely a) tilted or b) in the wrong divison.

HOWEVER

I have been on the fair share of my own loss streaks, but I also end up going on a lot of win streaks also.

I find that when I go on loss streaks it's typically
a ) I give up role to someone who is a 1 trick and they fail to play the role at the standard which they should
b ) I find this season a lot of people have a super weak mental game. 0-3 in the first 5 minutes and they're all screaming ff 15 and won't listen to any semblance of a counter argument
c ) Smurfs. I've ran into so many smurfs at high gold/low plat it's ridiculous. I'd say 10% of my games have a smurf in it and it's not fun for either side.

Yah I just had a shen jungle who went and face checked his red late and died and griefed just ran around farming people's lanes and our jungle all game and refused to do anything, was awesome, diamonds a pretty sweet place, quality players.

I think the weak mental thing though is huge and a massive problem along with the greifing voyboy pointed out, especially in diamond, once a player dies once they boom and start inting and spamming go next.

Regardless though a 20+ loss streak shouldn't be a reality.

I honestly think it's streamers and higher tier players that have enabled this problem. Never really had this issue a few seasons ago but now, all I see is "Top diff" "JG diff" etc. Everyone points fingers and won't focus on their own play.

To be fair though that was always an issue it's just people were afraid, especially during the "lyte" smiting times cause they were banning people left and right, now though they would rather ban people based on how they type vs how they play and it only took so long for people to figure that out. Trolling and greifing has always been a thing it's just gotten worse and worse and worse, I think the whole weak mental problem and trolling is literally a bigger attitude/behavior problem within certain cultures NA being one of them. People don't do this because their influenced to... at the end of the day their wasting their own time and 4 other players, the issue is deeper they get some sort sense of control out of it, since they lost lane or someone didn't listen to them they can show they are in control by controlling the outcome of the game via trolling.

I've never heard of anyone losing 20 games in a row let alone 40 lmao

if matchmaking was how you define "fair" it actually wouldn't be fair and no one would climb.

I’ve always wondered if the reverse happens and people just never talk about it thinking nothing of it.
Someone born with such great luck that they skip the low elo climb all together.
Every time you win there’s at least one person getting carried. What if you’re always that person getting carried to an unnatural elo.

Dopa

He admited that he never really tryharded any game.
From the moment he tried any game since he was a child, he mastered the whole game in few weeks.

By the time he hit level 30 on his first League account, he mastered the game pretty much and instantly climbed to highest elo divisions.

He gave an interview once in which he said that some people work really hard to get better in games, while he's just lucky that god gave him that talent.
Only player he considers to be on his level is Faker, and that's the only matchup in which he's "trying" since it's a coinflip lane. No1 else matters, it's free lane for him and most often free game.

After getting banned in Korea, kid went to China and got Rank1 challenger in less than a month from an unranked account.
