**North American Server

This will be a tournament style Teamfight Tactics event held by myself (Textbook) over the course of the next week. The top place finishers will earn forum gold prizes.
Eight people (including myself) will be accepted into the event and able to compete. Please only apply to join the event if you meet the criteria listed below.
My placement will be skipped. I am participating, but if I finish 1st, the 2nd place finisher will earn the 1st place prize (for example).

Criteria

1. Your d2jsp account must be in good standing. This means that you have 0% warn, you are not locked or scammer tagged, and you generally follow the site rules. (Some exceptions to the warn rule may be made for those with 10% warn, but you'll need to pm me the reasons you believe you should be allowed).
   
2. You must be able to play on Thursday & Friday (12/19, and 12/20) evenings at approximately 8pm eastern time (5pm pacific) for approximately 2 hours.
   
3. You must post your League summoner name here in the topic, and you must pm me your top 3 preferences for starting primary synergy.

Rules/Agreements
By posting/participating, you agree the following:

1. You may be denied participating for any reason. You are not entitled to participate just by posting.
   
2. Collusion, throwing games, or any other unfair advantages between players is strictly forbidden. If you are found to partake in any sort of unsportsmanlike behavior, you will be removed.
   
3. At anytime, prize pool amounts may be changed. For example, the top 3 finishers may be said to earn forum gold. If I receive donations, however, that may expand.
   
4. You may be removed from the competition (without receiving potential rewards) at any time, for any reason. Things such as flaming in chat will not be tolerated. This is just to have fun and earn some forum gold.

Special Playstyle Requirements
This TFT tournament is structured in a way that is NOT standard TFT gameplay. You will be required to pick a primary synergy and you may ONLY play champions within that synergy until you finish the synergy. Once you complete the synergy, you may then hybridize (use champions outside of your primary synergy). If you have an item, such as wardens mail, that champion (with the wardens mail equipped) would count towards your primary synergy if your primary synergy is wardens.

TLDR Special Playstyle Requirements:
You must pick 3 primary synergies you'd be willing to play. I will pick the one you play so that it doesn't conflict with other players. Initial picks will be first come first serve based on your tier list of top 3 selections.
You may not "hybridize" until you reach the max of that synergy.
You must always keep your declared synergy.

Three examples to show the pros/cons of different selections:
--I declare Predator, am able to secure warwick, skarner, and kogmaw relatively early. I am now able to transition into 3predator, 2steel, 3assassin, 2crystal as the game progresses. My comp is okay, but it's quite weak late game due to having to keep the predators and not being able to easily reach any deep synergies.
--I declare Warden, am able to secure Ornn, Nasus, Braum, Thresh, Nautilus, and some random that I put warden mail on. This took me a little bit, but I can later replace Ornn, nasus, and braum with Malphite, Amumu, and Taric. I can now hybridize with Ashe as a damage hypercarry (and 2crystal) or an Olaf (and 2 glacial if you keep braum). My early game has a chance to be weak but my mid game is moderator and my late game is great with proper itemization.
--I declare Berserker, am able to secure Renekton, Volibear, Jax, Mundo, and Sion by the early-mid game, and an olaf by the later stages of mid game. Now having hit 6 berserker I can hybridize and add a non berserker like Singed and Twitch for the poison synergy. Using Jax and sion as a disruptor, olaf and twitch as carries, and mundo as a damage soak, I have a strong mid-late especially should I transition one of my bersekers out by replacing them with a berserker axe.

Thanks for hosting, it’s great to have organized community events.

Why the special ruleset though? That deters me and perhaps other players to participate. Especially when you have to pre-declare your element and can’t choose one based on initial minion waves.
