Its sort of like riding the kiddy rides at the amusement park.
Not in the sense that its childish.
But more in the sense of being a toned down version of the game entertainment wise.

Minimal fight or flight response aka barely dipping in the adrenaline.
The excitement of watching ai fight eachother fades rather quickly.

Winning is still fun, arguably even more so considering the individual skill based nature of the game.

But the sense of accomplishment from winning is less there. Its a decision based game. You aren't rewarded for high apm.
You wont be making any game winning flashy plays.

If you're a fan of chess IRL it can be just as rewarding as playing that. But given its RNG nature, much... much more frustrating.

Set 1 was more fun

That's why I finally gave it a try...I thought the idea of auto chess was stupid, but it's entertaining and there's at least some strategy to it.
