How come cho and fid get to keep silence.

Why does annie get to keep point and click stun.

They removed old spells like Sion Q and Taric E WW R because it was too reliable.
They remove silence on assassins cause theres no counterplay.

As if getting hit by ap cho q w r has any counterplay?
Fid ambushing your whole team and 1 shotting with R E

I'm not pretending these champs are op or anything. Although Cho is a fucking beast.

Just find it weird that some cc like silence and point and click stuns were phased out of old champions and stick around on just as old champions.

Do you think they should remain? Do these champs listed also need rework (aside from the known fiddlesticks rework)

Annie/Cho that is and any other champs with out dated mechanics

Do you think these old mechanics should stay, be brought back in with new champs?

Personally i miss the old taric shatter combo with graves in lane.

Burst is high risk high reward.

not disagreeing with inconsistency in design choice...

but in terms of kit + purpose, i dont agree with the examples you used at all.

there are an abundance of opportunities to outplay / counterplay cho's spells, hence the large area effect and hitbox of his spells. and this is increasingly so with the release of more and more mobile champions. cho's playrate and winrate has been amongst the worst for sequential patches because of this reason.

annie has a similar issue, she has an outdated kit that NEEDS reliability in order to be relevant. i'm sure Riot would like to change this but would need to completely rework her kit in order to remove that mechanic.

i think it's more of a time and capacity issue rather than the desire to be consistent

Soraka, garen have silence too

The silences that were removed were point and click and super op because of their range and who they were on, talon/leblanc/kass

They could remove cho silence I guess but they would need to rework his other skills to compensate, same with fidd i guess,

not saying riot couldnt change it though (actually maybe they cant, they struggle balancing sometimes),
but the change would only serve to remove silence from the game to be consistent rather than the real reason it was removed on some champs

I dont think fid, cho, soraka, or garen are anywhere near broken with silence

Where as the older ones really didnt have much counter play

I think silence is overpowered to a select handful of champs that either channel abilities or dps heavily through spell usage.
If we're gonna keep silence then bring disarm abilities into the game.

can you reference some matchups? like give an example where you think cho'gath is "overpowered" that there is no counterplay?

yes man

Kayle rework made it happen that my Teemo no longer blocks Kayle-E-attack's with blind
My Teemo's point click nulifier should work vs all attacks, just like Anni with her Teemobear

I don't think cho is overpowered.
