my mmr is horrid for some reason, any ideas what could it be?
I'm gaining 19, and losing 18 LP per win, roughly.

I just lost 1st match on 0LP Gold2, and instantly got dropped to Gold3.



This season, I've been climbing soloQ from Bronze3. So that's Bronze3-Gold2 so far with positive winrate and horrible gains, massive loses

Win promo + 2 games = 35 LP

idk but there is a reason. on a new account i started i think it placed me around bronze 2 and just as you say I also have positive in rate yet I still get 21+ per win and -12-13 per loss in gold 2. how many wins do you have? mines around 44

which is I guess around average considering I'm not smurfing and I climbed from B2. Some people in Gold would have over 1k rankeds so far

i'd say you have enough number of games that you're not going to have crazy high gains. but it's been a while since i've played so i don't know exactly hot it works.

why do you think your MMR is low?
Are you going against silver or low gold players?

If you're winning as much LP as you're losing then your MMR is in line with your division's average.

LP gain/losses in general feel diminished because Riot changed tier distributions during the season to make up for too many people landing in Plat and Diamond. So you have a shitton of players parked in P4 and D4 0 LP right now, which forces the ranked population below them to move ranks slower than they should.

I'm playing against Gold players, and some Plat player gets queued now and then, but I guess his mmr must be fucking horrible.
I have a feeling it's low cos I gain and lose same amount of LP per win/lose :/
