Placed silver 2 this season. I haven't taken this game seriously since season 6, and this grind felt super good and enjoyable.
Everything was pretty much smooth sailing getting into ~gold 3, which is when playing random Ad's didn't cut it anymore.
Over the course of the next ~150 ranked games, I tried to really get better at "maining a small champ pool", targeting jinx + cait + kaisa.

So, from silver2 to plat4, I played 223 games. Had some good games with @tbow along the way, so thanks for that as well when we got the chance!
Highest peak for me is plat 2 back in season 6, so I'ma try and beat it

TL;DR - I'm happy I'm plat. I don't really have anyone to share this with... So that's all.

What rank did you start s9 at?

Did you still focus jinx/cait/kaisa even if they werent meta at the time?

Yeah so I started season 9 at Silver 2. I originally played things I knew I was decent with : twitch, jinx, varus.
After briefly climbing, I realized I couldn't blind pick those champs or hardly pick them at all with the meta being like vayne-draven-kaisa.
I at that point learned how to play kaisa, jinx fell back into meta, and I chose to really get good with cait since it's a great blind pick champ.

Maining those three really sky-rocketed my win % over the past week or two. 9.10 is actually stupid good for me, a meta I can really enjoy and thrive in as an adc main.
