What heroes should I try to learn first? And where do they rank on the tier list?

Lol is not on steam, it's a client you download on rito's site

I strongly advice you to do tutorials + coop vs ia games until you are familiar with few champions

Almost every champion is reliable on low level games so it doesn't matter what you play, you should definately choose by your own which champions you prefer, either it's playstyle, design etc

Also check opgg site to have an idea of what is meta and what is not, there are leaderboards there with all champions with pickrate winrate etc

Welcome to the game my dude!

Depending on what role you want to play:

Top: Garen
Jungle: Shyvana or Udyr
Mid: Annie
Bottom: Ashe
Support: Janna/Taric

Those champions are all strong and excellent for learning their respective roles.

Be prepared for the toxicity of this forum and the game

There's a mode called ARAM, it's a 5v5 in 1 lane where team fighting is prevalent and gives you a random champion to play.
This is a good way to find out which champions you may like to play.
Each week there is a free champion rotation that you will get to choose from playing when playing normal games.
You won't have a chance to play ranked until you hit level 30, so just get used to a couple champions and master them by the time you hit ranked and you will do fine.

You buy them in the store, play Garen top, that’s the best position for a noob but in all honesty this game isn’t worth it. You have to play for like a year to be a mid silver level player...and people are toxic in every game especially to new players.

Games only fun when you do well, when you get behind and feed it’s not fun and you’re stuck in the game for 30 minutes with 4 people telling you your mom is a w****


4/10 game if I could go back and do it all again would’ve never installed, and I’m saying that as someone who made it halfway thru gold before they realized how shit this game was

Once you get to gold, you'll realize it's more fun to play off meta and troll all the time so maybe level an account to 30, level another account to 30, climb to gold on one, then begin the true way to play on the other.
