Alright, it's late game. My team has baron buff, open enemy nexus.

We have no dragons and elder comes up.

The 5-11-18 midlaner cries to secure elder. I don't get it. We have baron buff, and no dragons all game. Elder does nothing for us. Just run it down mid lane with superminions and end, right? Instead, team engages in fight in jungle. Gets ezpz'd. Game ends as they storm it down mid.

I thought people in gold knew better, or do I just have a silver mentality still and securing elder here is priority rather than ending game? please coach me.

depends. if enemy can force engage it might be best to push minions in first, then rotate for the free elder and come back stronger for the baron siege - or simply deny the elder from the enemy.

of course, there's a lot of missing information - comps, leads/powerspikes, game state, etc. methinks you just want to cry about teammates holding you back

probably, but a push mid would have ended. also a bit tilted that 15 mins earlier Shaco and Fiora could have ended during an ace, shaco split from fiora. Shaco pushed 1 turret + inhib while fiora pushed 3 turrets (2 nexus) + 1 inhib and shaco could have just ended if he stayed :/

If you're below diamond then the only thing you should be worrying about is stomping your lane and getting giant leads and carrying.

The right playi s always to end if the potential is there.
