Something that may have been overlooked recently is Riot Games have now increased the time you must be friends for from 24 hours to 7 days before you may gift.

This will affect how you trade RP/FG on JSP as gift cards are currently prohibited.

Sales of boosts are unaffected obviously.

If making a trade make sure to take into consideration the new changes for both you and your partner.

This may be a catalyst to ask JSP to revisit the rule regarding gift cards as that will considerably speed up the trading process.

this is a rule because its impossible to show what scam happened if one were to happen
(seller gives code to a friend, already used it, buyer uses it and says doesnt work, etc)
they will never change this rule

What system do they use for other gift card trading, this is allowed on Steam right? Or in the Donor forum - Is there a way to make it safer?

Its not technically impossible. I use OBS from trade start to trade end on every trade ever since I got scammed a few years back. F5 during PM recieving code, typing the code in and it saying the code is invalid / already used should be enough but I personally don't see the point of caring. 7 days is not that long of a wait. It is definitely annoying, not the worst thing in the world though

only donor forum, there is no way to make it safer without using the donor forum, its literally not possible



ye, but what happens when the seller pre-uses the card, or the buyer records his mainscreen but gives the code away to a buddy on discord and it got used same time? or if seller uses card same moment buyer uses card on a different account?

way too much "what ifs" which is why banning the trade of codes/cards is the way it is, and the only way to trade is the donor forum to ensure safety - or waiting the 3 (now 7) day time limit, sucks but its the truth

its also not possible (at least that I know of) to record/stream numerous screens at once, even then you could type the code on your phone to a diff account, have a laptop, spare pc etc...
