Once they figure out how much money they've caused these companies to lose from this they won't think it's funny.
They're gonna send everything they can to catch these people and it won't be pretty when they do.

they will probably end up getting a job working for the government in order to avoid life sentence

just because they can run a botnet and ddos people doesn't mean they have any valuable skills the government would value

bet any amount of money that even a grunt for the NSA could work out how to use a botnet. getting a bunch of vulnerable computers upon which to run the botnet is a little different but that still doesn't take any unique set of skills
these are some little script kiddies who got a good position and base to launch some high-profile attacks, hardly anything spectacular except in the sheer scope of it

they'll be getting waterboarded for information in a few months tops, same thing that happened to LulzSec when they claimed they would never get caught - one guy got tortured and ratted.

i bet if he ddos'd facebook or twitter you would never hear from him again within an hour.

i wonder if they realize how stupid they are having a phone line
someone has to be paying for that and the govt can certainly get that information with ease
