I've been into it for a long time, I just started to take it more seriously recently, which is why I needed a portfolio / mac.

cost efficiency isn't the only thing that drives sales

while i'd always get a pc for myself if i had to get something for my mother, father or grand parents or any friends going for a liberal arts degree i'd always recommend apple

for all of those using pc to bash apple, what do you make of the linux crowd that bashes your choice of hardware/software for the same reasons?

Yea I really enjoy it. I have a friend of my family to meet up. He started his own production company and needs some extra help so it looks all my schooling might finally pay off =O

Nice! What did you take? I did a year of Architectural Technology to try and follow in my dad's foot steps but I didn't like it.

Vouch. These people don't realize how well built apples really are these days. My pc is > majority of this subforum, and have always been about pc; however apples have really stepped up there game. a 15" screen with 2560 by 1600 resolution is insane.

Audio Engineering. I can put music / noise to anything. Mix live concerts. Mix and master.

But only because I learned it, and Linux still can't play league to my knowledge so I won't switch over. But damn Macs over priced, w8 is a lot more optimized now and more user friendly with that gay whatever.
Personal opinion in the end, Imo you buy apple products to impress people and they're pretty user friendly, but mostly to impress people.
