easiest way to actually have fun in this game

i swear i had alot of fun season 1 one messing around in 5s but actually trying in 3s.
season 2 i had fun ranking up in 5s but some time in 2012 they fucked up 3s for me.. not nearly as fun anymore because they redid the map and basically made it into an entirely new game mode.
season 3 it was still a bit of fun to rank up but not as much + they decided to make ranked less clear on where you actually stood.. because they hid your mmr to give people less ranked anxiety...

those changes in 2 and 3? i disliked them and there were other changes that were unfavorable, but hey not all of it was bad/unreasonable. i didn't see the point in completely removing old 3s and that made me sad but everyone wanted to play 5s anyways but...

riots decision making for their game hasn't always been the best and they seem to just keep getting worse and worse about it. they release patches with some pretty retarded changes that stick around for a long time. they give elo boosters an option to queue as 5 together..... in ranked solo queue....... when they already had a ranked 5s team format....who wants to deal with that kind of bull shit AND try to be competitive in this game at the same time? do you remember how broken skarner was when they reworked him? or the super obnoxious juggernaut patch? they took a long time to hot fix skarner and i don't even remember how long it took them to tune other things back.

or what about soraka? look how fucking long it took them to decide to nerf her. (they actually buffed her too with the mastery changes before the nerf she deserved WELL before it...) she is still an annoying cunt to this day and has to be one of the top supports still.



not even to mention the nature of the game. most people derive pleasure from this game from killing others/denying others of things/winning. very little people actually enjoy playing an even matchup/back and forth or getting stomped. some get super pissed when an ally even dies once. people are willing to do almost anything to gain elo. they will have scripts play the game for them/pay others to play/use drop hacks/or any other sort of advantage that can get, regardless of how dirty it is

eh, I think Riot does an alright job with updating the game. they miss the mark sometimes like they did with Skarner, and Dynamic Q is just a massive change that will take time to reflect on, but a lot of games out there make game-breaking updates and they don't do anything until months after... so at least Riot tends to be responsive. I never understood all the Soraka hate either, yeah her heal is obnoxious but her peel is shit she has zero playmaking and she's flat out the squishiest champion in the game. a Janna or Lulu can easily prevent ten heals worth of damage with their peel/kite/shields, and no one complains about them.

and to be frank, given League's sheer size there is relatively little cheating going on. doesn't even compare to CS:GO, which in turns is not even comparable to older titles like 1.6, Gunbound and our very own D2 (that's why we're all here in this forum xD). yeah there's a fair share of toxic kids out there but I find them pretty easy to ignore, and this may be an unpopular opinion but I like Riot cracking down on the passive aggressive flamers.

no game is fun forever though, it could be just you getting worn out and looking for something new.

yea its partly about me not liking video games as much anymore/i disagree with the majority of their changes/its pvp so you will inevitably HAVE to deal with bull shit hacks and exploits while in games like d2 you can choose to not play with anyone that does that and still have fun

people do hate soraka out of lane but the thing is if you were to vs her in lane... you COULD NOT poke her hp down enough to actually force her out of lane and you COULD NOT pressure her adc enough either to out do her heals. you had to kill either one out right 100-0 to get any advantage, which was also unlikely due to soraka being able to heal an adc so ridiculously fast. you could get their adc to ~20% hp or less and be like oh ok we missed out on the kill, but we can push this up and maybe dive him or pressure the turret or get something out of it right? NO... you couldn't. by the time you see their adc again they are already full hp and can easily safely farm some more. and soraka can EASILY absorb the exp she needs from a safe distance. the "counter play" was hitting soraka and killing her... even though she has no reason to be in range to be hit or ccd in any way because she gets everything she needs from 1/2 a screen away or so.

there was basically no way to "win" a soraka lane as the enemy adc unless you happened to last hit more than the other adc or got ganks or killed other lanes... only a support like blitz could catch her and actually win if she was being dumb.. even though NORMALLY in league the way to win is killing their dps because you're going to get fucked up by their dude thats earning all of the gold but no.. soraka's lane presence was that fucking broken that it didn't make sense to even THINK about hitting their adc

sure its unbalanced in lane and healing can be annoying later on.. but the worst part is it ISN'T FUN.
