Udyr does well against rumble in lane, you can sustain vs. him. However he will be outdone in teamfights.

refer to my first post. consider rumbles dps out put and ratios. now look back at the magic resist and how magic resist works. rumbles skills do not scale well vs the mechanics behind magic resist. at 100 magic resist it takes double the damage to kill someone (with no penetration) but rumbles skills scale at a very low ratio so its hard to keep up as the resists build up. you can buy one negatron cloak and its going to take him a shit load of ap and pen to get back to chunking again, if even possible.

and FoN as a first item is absolutely terrible

you dont have the hp to make the resist worth it
