i slightly rationalize my time spent by doing boost jobs and trying to earn some sort of payment for it, but honestly playing league is definitely the least productive hobby i have

If you can make money off a hobby i'd say you're doing alright

To an extent he gets an audience because he's a loser to laugh at but also because he's relatable to said losers. They definitively have an expiration date though because there are just way too many people like him, and he doesn't stand out aside from the fact he's really committed to blaming everyone else whenever he fails. Only takes a couple of other nerds raging and going viral for him to become irrelevant. Hope he has the self-awareness to know that.

Reminds me of Moe from CS:GO who was really popular a few years back, just went to check out his Youtube channel, he only gets 10-20K views despite having half a mil subs and his last few videos are literally peddling get-rich-quick schemes. These days there's too much supply of insufferable and/or shitbag personalities online.

I actually found a better way to contextualize his climb. He spent 90% of the season bouncing throughout mid-diamond, and didn't hit masters until the last day of the season.

There are at least three people on this forum (logged in or posted recently) that have CONSISTENTLY outclimbed him, both this season and in previous ones.

https://na.op.gg/summoner/champions/userName=Godzilla%20Top the main account he played on this season btw.

The worst part about him is the dev team actually listens to his retard suggestions on balance.

You mean literally today and this season? Most of us stopped playing league entirely or at least dramatically less. I finished three accounts in d1-d2 with <200 games played combined across all three.

That’s significantly better than low masters with 600 games played on hashinshin’s main and god knows how many on smurfs. Most of us have grown up and simply do not have the time to play the sheer volume of games required to climb, since we are not full-time streamers. Work/etc. gets in the way, but you can still see a disparity in skill.

Can’t speak for the other guys but I also don’t blame my teammates if I lose lane.

/e also pretty sure ofrolive is around masters right now with less than half of hashinshins games played

he plays all day everyday because it's his job, can't use number of games played to define anything there bub
he consistently makes it to the top 1% with ease and floats there going back and forth

I don't think barely managing 50% win rate can qualify as "with ease"

With ease would be describing tf blades climbs (who also plays every day, cause its also his job) who can maintain 75+% win rate
and consistently hit masters + 3 days to 1 week playing.

The number of games played defines his skill level. The fact that its his job or not doesn't change anything.

Honestly have no clue how people still consistantly grind out 1 to 2k games a season and boast about your rank.

It does depend on if your boosting on jsp or for websites. Jsp is massively underpriced. I just boost for fun
Rush pricing on websites are pretty good tho. But yeah your generally not making much in low gold. Only saving grace is longer jobs where u can skip division and promos.

Boosting in 3s when there used to be teams was legit free money. People were playing crazy money to get a spot on our challenger teams

agree w/ poonisher.

someone who takes 1,000 games to climb from silver to gold is not the same as someone who takes 100 games to do the same climb. the implication is a massive disparity in winrate.

Beats playing norms I guess

lol yes, agree with the bolded. it bewilders me.

threes is an exception, though the opportunity to boost people in that mode was short lived. but either way, it's very little money compared to time depending on what your real life alternatives are.

the obvious upside though, is that you can make money on something you enjoy.
