People are lazy and most choose not to learn.
Sending out blindly a bunch of Trojan horse to grow a bot net isn't hard the hard part is learning how to make these Trojans and figuring out how to distribute it.
It requires a lot of time and dedication but if say you or me had a bot net ready and working yes its easy to ping a server a billion times.
No ones immune to being shut down theres always goign to be exploits and theres always going to be people willing to risk it.
