question about EV training

each pokemon you kill you get a certain EV point correct?

whats the capped EV?

so you can keep killing a certain pokemon until you max the EV then continue the game by leveling it any way you want?

its been a long time since I had to EV train

cap is like 255 or something around that

The total # of EV a pokemon can have is 504 (i could be wrong)
but each individual EV stat can only cap at 255

And yes people farm certain pokes for certain EVs
Examples are farming Digglets for Speed or farming Paris for Attack

You can get a maximum of 510 EVs on one pokemon. 4 EV points = 1 stat point

You can get a maximum of 255 EVs on one stat (atk, spd, sp atk) etc.

So you 252-252 in your two favorite stats, and put the rest into something else.

Different pokemon give different EV points. Dig, for example, gives one Spd EV for every time you get experience from him, and 2 for dugtrio.

Getting exp gives you EV, so even if you kill something with 1 EV, if you kill him after getting 6 ( or whatever) people involved in the battle, they will all get 1 EV. EV points do not split.
