Yeah.. like 1/500 players actually hosted, and 1/10 of those had a good game without massive lags/spikes.
Divide that upon 200k players, and maybe 50% of those played dota regularly. spread out on 4 realms, and you have a tiny ammount of good hosts.
Newbs got shit upon and had to play with shitty hosts untill they were ready to play in the big boys league, that's how it should be.

If you don't wanna spend the time becoming a great player, why should you have the benefits of a great player?

Because if I started playing a game and I was spiking every 2 seconds I wouldn't play the game to high lvl lol.
It's not a benefit it's sort of a requirement for an online game.

Never happened ran bots for ever to try and find an executioner or a naga, no such luck and ended up quitting for WoW and CoD4

that would drastically reduce the player base as well as the newcomers that stick lol, so there's no reason they would want to do that...

and in reality, regardless of the skill of the player, the playing field should be even, that's the idea behind pvp that starts fresh every round with everyone with nothing that they had the previous match...
