My quick guide from 0-1200elo and up
You must carry soo hard that no matter how much the enemy gets fed of noob team mates you will win.
There are champs which are absolutely fantastic for this some just dont make it at all.
These champs are hard snowballing/fantastic pushers/destroying towers/5v1
Do NOTrely on team mates at elo below 1200 like ever. UNLESS you duo with a trusted friend who you know can watch your back
Whichever lane you are doing you must absolutely smash it. A stale mate is not an option. You must both rape the tower and the player. Take them out of the game completely
This not only helps your dumb team mates but demoralises the enemy.
These champs
Fizz, Yorik, Rumble, Kassadin, Pantheon, Riven, Maokai, Lee Sin, Arhi, Jax, Graves, Varus, Vayne, Udyr, Veigar, Zyra, Kog Maw, Akali. Twisted Fate, Fiora (Ali, Soraka, Blitzcrank) <-- only if absolutely necessary
Situational
Malphite, Galio, Singed, Mundo, Heimerdinger, Ryze, Mordekeiser, Shyvana
There are others that i might of forgot to add to this list
That is not to say others could very well be very viable and if you are good with them can get you out of this elo
But these champs are numero uno.
Try to never ever play support because if your carry sucks there is very little you can do.
Sometimes if you are forced to get a support duo to stubborn team mates get a carry support like kayle or something which that game could really use.
You can always get gp5 and do the best you can.
You MUST carry to win.
The champs you select must dish out huge damage otherwise they are not viable.
After you win your lane go help team mates. Take 1 tower at a time.
Positioning and surprise are your landmark of gameplay.
Ward key places, especailly where you expect teammates to walk into or any fighting to occur.
Know your dragon and golem repawn times and get them every time there is an opportunity. At >1200elo people will try to farm or hit tower 3 times but they wont
have a clue about dragon. Gently remind them to help you kill it. However 80% you must kill it by yourself and that is an underestimate.
I believe getting a great duo buddy is critical. Look at it this way, they are trying to elo climb and so are you.
Find one from past games which did exceptionally well. Befriend them and hit that ranked ladder
Some duo wont work out, as you generally find out quickly. You might make some really good friends aswell.
Sometimes they just drop off because they are not higher elo material
Also it helps if they are higher elo because you will gain way more that way
1 competent team mate = 1 less troll to worry about enough said.
Farm your ass off last hit cs whenever you have the chance. Killing champs doesnt always win games. Remember Nexus>Kills
Watch lots of high elo ranked streams then practice practice practice...
