How does my ranked Elo determine my league placement?
If you’ve played at least five ranked team games or 10 solo/duo games in the preseason, a combination of your current and top Elo rating will determine the tier of the league you initially earn.

Basically here is what happens:

You get in a pool of 250 other players.

By continually winning you gain "League Points"

Once you get to 100 points, you have to win a "Promotion Series"

If you win that you can move up to the next "Rank, IE GOLD/SILVER/PLAT/ETC"

This way silver players will not be playing gold players and so forth

You ONLY play people of the same league as you

I'm not sure if its limited to the same pool of 250 or if its EVERYONE in the same rank of silver/gold/plat etc

What if the other 249 players are never on..
