if a game is mid only and you jungle, then cross-map mobility becomes an issue.

jungling during mid only is the same as going to other lanes in mid only.

you allow yourself to get more exp & gold if you can hop around the map faster (ex. twisted fate for this game)

mid only restricts both people to same exp and same gold and can only quickly take down 1 lane's towers, that way you can't avoid the enemy hero by going elsewhere in the map (such as other lanes and jungle)

If you were allowed to jungle, it would be best to jungle and let your tower defend early on if the other hero is a terrible pusher.

This is from a basic understanding of 1v1 in dota & hon and applies to LoL as well.
