As long as its not installing a bitcoin miner on my computer i don't see what it could possibly do that is worse than any telecoms company.

About the telecomms companys, not much I can do there but I have a 20 year old phone and a 2 euro a month contract, if anything telecomms companys lose money with me. That's about the most I can impact them but I'm doing what I can.

Since the impact on performance is greater than a bitcoin miner which are always unnoticeable, and it's to sell your data which will make more money than a bitcoin miner, it's considerably worse. It's also a massive chinese conglomerate doing it and not some guy that uploaded a piratebay mirror. Much, much worse in my eyes.
