From someone who has no intention of ever trading RP (either buying or selling), $1:100fg is the rate pretty much across the board on JSP across various trading forums. If people in this forum are offering worse ratios, you could probably get someone else from a different forum to give you 1:100. It makes no difference to the seller even if they don't play league.

probably true for $, probably untrue for RP.

you can only purchase RP in odd amounts, there would likely be some leakage for the "seller" if they didn't play league at all.

and wouldn't expect you to know this since you don't play league, but there isn't really 1:1 matches for RP purchases and skin gifts. you'd have to purchase excess RP and then gift the skin.

Not quite true at all. There is some subs where its $1:110

On other parts of the boards (ie World of Warcraft) people buy battle net balance for 1kfg = $15 (insane) but on the other side as in OSRS\csgo, the rates seem to always be 1:100 - 1:110

i think it somewhat depends on the liquidity of what you're buying.

RP/skins/bnet balance is closed loop. RP is also very clunky in exchange ratios.

OSRS is pretty liquid.

majority of the skins fall under the 1350 mark, by going with the $100 ratio here on jsp, the ratio would be $1:1.25 fg to make it worthwhile. based off of $10 rp cards. For people who got RP cards laying around from gifts (for example myself) a $1:1.30-1.35 is VERY generous considering its technically free RP (based off of 15000 RP cards).

If I were to buy RP, I think a $1:1.20-25 ratio is good considering how active csgo forum is and theyre doing $1:110 and considering wow tokens are about $1:75 fg ($20:1500)

But running based off either the $50 or $100 RP cards would be the best way in my opinion for people who are isoing multiple skins causing the odd number of RP, each forum is based off of popularity and let's face the fact, league sub isnt as active when comparing to osrs, wow, csgo etc

I mean I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m just explaining the rationale.

The scenario you laid out is pretty niche though. I’m sure the population of people that received RP cards as gifts, don’t want to use it for themselves, AND want fg on jsp, is pretty small.

I stay away from convoluted trading like this.

3 variables.

real world $

fg

rp

the value of rp and fg are subjective to everyone.

the value of cash is subjective based on what region of the world you live in.

(case for CAD vs USD)

Sort of on topic but off point, some people are willing to shell out 50k on a watch, others cringe at buying a 20$ one at walmart.

Its sort of hard to establish a baseline that isn't going to be inherently profiting the person establishing it.

Also, gambling on this site plays a huge part into inflated value or deflated value of fg.

To me, someone who doesn't gamble and who comes by it through $ or by trading my time.
Fg is worth quite a bit more than RP.

For someone with 5-6 digit fg counts who got there by other people guessing something wrong. Fg is petty.

So basically one mans trash is another mans treasure.

Too many variables. Prices should just be hashed out on the spot and haggled like the flea market this is.

there's almost always a baseline value. what you're seeing IS haggling. people are debating ratios with a spread of ~0.2
