It might change sure, but as of now - I bet G2 meets IG in the final.
IG are picking scaling a lot of games too. And they win a lot through fast macro collapses and good fights.
It has nothing to do with meta and everything to do with strategic and micro skill.
You can say champions are meta but there is not a meta playstyle, so long as you are using the strong champions. IG has fallen behind numerous times early and come back. They pick Ryze, Viktor, Kaisa and sometimes just farm out the lane.
Azir is a fantastic champion for being able to collapse on other lanes and QER people back for picks.
The game is not so simple that you can just "play these champions and play for this specific point of the game in this lane and you'll win"
You can play through any lane that your draft has given you an advantage in
