As plat elo with plat mmr, i get queued in flex with :

Unranked top laner with currently 0-7 win/lose. splits lane for whole game, 48 cs in 25 minutes in empty lane. loses cs to his own laners
bronze2 adc with 10 wins and 33 loses in rankeds claiming "jungle is supposed to outfarm adc you cancerous piece of shit"

soloq doesn't affect flex at all. it'll get better when you climb in flex.

flex is pretty bad solo, I usually play it with a full premade.

I'm gold2 in flex and I played premade with gold3.
Matched with unranked on the way to 0/10 and bronze2

i wish that was my flex queue..

i placed gold 1 flex and i was trying to grind so hard dropped way down to g3 or 4 i forget, i was being matched up with d2-masters lol

It's not hard just add people who you queue with then around you skill level from games, or look for people who wanna flex within your elo.

How do people climb in silver and below? They carry. Had to play AP Sona, AP Nami, and AP Zilean just to get to gold. Sub gold is cancer.

Now I play support smite Ivern in flex and I’m that guy you complain about cuz it’s flex.
