So I recently hit gold

And I find myself either stomping games or getting stomped

There’s really never any close close games lol

Opinions?

And yes I know I’m not good at the game.

this seasons gold is really weird. I was plat 3 (decayed to 4) last season, placed silver 1, now diamond 4. The hardest climb was g3-4 and g1-p3, feels like thats where all the placements are off lol. lots of griefers and trolls

My main roles are top/jg but i like to play supp sometimes as its less of a headache, i always see 2 types of people" Gold2-p4 mmr" and i am gold2. Just my opinion" am talking mainly about gold elo.
1- People who play not that great and usually expect to be carried, i see those alot and usually they play mid for some reason. Most of their games they either feed or play even like 5-5 or 4-3 etc.
2- People who play good overall and are able to carry"gotta love those when i play jg".

I'm g3-g2 support.
Climbed b3-g2 in 150 rankeds and now I'm stuck. Best advice I can give, from my own hardstuck perspective, is to mute all and play your game as if it was a single player game.
Ignore what bad teammates are doing and do your best to do your job.
Idk, maybe I'm dumb

Muting all and playing single player is a horrible idea for a support. As a support main the best to do is think to yourself "will I make the situation worse?" If you think doing nothing at all times you'll be hardstuck, if you always think you gotta do something you'll be stuck. It's a chess game, think about pros and cons of the play actions. If your adc keeps engaging and feeds don't make the game any harder for someone who can carry by feeding as well.

Perhaps you're right.
I kept muting everyone and climbed b3-g2 in 150 games which I find really good. Especially since I'm usually high silver-low gold player, that plays 2 games a day due to busy schedule.

Might stop muting now that I'm in higher gold rank :D
Hoping for god damb platinum for first time in my life :(

I'm sure it's same for every Elo to an extent but in gold I def noticed there were 2 distinct players.

1, grind a lot of fking games and manage to crawl their bum ass into gold

2, people who were plat+ previous seasons but only play a few games but in gold atm.

Just play a role you're comfortable to 1v9 in or can secure a early game lead. It's not silver where your teammates can't close or don't play for objectives

I used to be like that mute everyone and just grind but as I watched streamers and YouTubers they gave a lot of pointers. Check out xfsn saber he's a Challenger adc but his videos are super knowledgeable, gives pointers that applies to all roles. This season was my highest peaked in diamond if you just reevaluate yourself and ask questions on their twitch streams
