I have only been playing League for four months, and I only hit 30 a few weeks ago. Since hitting max level, I have considered quitting the game every other day not because of the game itself (although the bugs and server issues are frustrating) but because of the players. The LoL community is toxic, more so than any other game I have ever played.
I've given up playing ARAM until the next season starts because it is nothing but harassment and dickish behavior. Asking for help on a champ I've never played (Noc, for example) results in either silence or "just learn it you noob" from either team. I've been working on learning a couple champions, but I see it constantly: people being harassed and bullied just because they aren't as experienced as someone else.
Why is the community like this, and is there anything to do to make it better? How do you respond to the immaturity?

i remember my very first game there was a katarina player (probably a smurf) who was raging and bragging in all chat the entire game while she went on a 20 kill spree

well if u were a noob in dota on wc3 u would just get kicked out of 90% of the games before even being able to read ''noob''

being toxic is fine as long as they play while they are being toxic

But trolls can get annoying

But honestly, taunting and flaming has been in every game in history. If you can't take it then don't play. Its in sport irl for god sakes, people have fucking riots and brawls over sports teams.
