Mundo goes where he pleases
Mundo the pub-stomper

Background
It is said that the man now known as Dr. Mundo was born in the city of Zaun without any sort of conscience. Instead, he had an unquenchable desire to inflict pain through experimentation. By the time he was five, most of the pets in the neighborhood had gone missing. By his teenage years, his parents were nowhere to be found. By the time he had legally acquired his license to practice medicine, he had been acquitted of 38 charges of murder by the Zaun authorities; the lack of evidence made prosecution impossible. Unfortunately, the city-state of Noxus regards such behavior as a sign of initiative and ambition, rather than inhumanity. Dr. Mundo was recruited to fight for Noxus in the League of Legends. He continues his experiments to this day, even using himself as an experimental subject.
Introduction
First of all, this guide is not for ranked games, but for pub stumping. It is based on confusing the enemy and then slaughtering them one by one.
With a proper laning phase, you can carry a team with ease, and by proper I don’t mean 5+ kills, as long as you don’t die you’ll be off just fine.

This guide is at its best if you are solo top lane, also in my opinion Mundo is the best 2v1 laner, as he can farm easily at his own tower from level 2, lasthit creeps from the distance, allows you to play with 2 defensive summoner abilities, you simply cannot harass mundo, you cannot zone mundo due to his powerful Q, good ganker with a jungler early game due to his q and e.
Only exception for this is if you face a pair of very good zoning heroes, but just stay patient.

Abilities
Adrenaline Rush

Dr Mundo regenerates 0.3% of his Max Health each second

Infected Cleaver Q

Dr. Mundo hurls his cleaver, dealing damage equal to 15 / 18 / 21 / 23 / 25% of the target's current health (80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 damage minimum) and slowing them by 40% for 2 seconds.

Burning Agony W

Toggle: Dr. Mundo deals 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 (+0 ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies, and reduces the duration of crowd control effects on Dr Mundo by 25/30/35/40/45%.

Masochism E

Increases physical damage by 40/55/70/85/100 for 5 seconds. Dr. Mundo gains an additional +0 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 1 damage for each percentage of health he is missing.

Sadism R

Dr. Mundo regenerates 50% of his Max Health over 12 seconds. Additionally, he gains 15 / 25 / 35% movement speed.

Order:
1: q
2: e
3: q
4: w
5: q
6: r
So R>q>w>e(after you’ve statted 1 in this at lvl 1)
The reason for this is, that e is simply just a 1 point wonder, where I find that w scales better per level, and its also great farming spell. But sometimes I max e before q if I find it possible to push down towers.
Summoner spells:
Ghost and flash
These two babies are both very profitable in many ways.
They allow you to stay in your lane for longer, as you don’t need to rely as much on your ulti as you would otherwise.
Exaust, ignite and teleport are also viable choices, but I would prefer these two by far
Items:
These items vary extremely much from game to game.
Start off with a Pendant and a hp pot or a shield if you are facing ad in your lane
You will usually be staying in your lane farming until you have just about 3000 gold (I shit you not, won’t take long)
If I go back before that I get boots + belt / ruby or even a mantle if you a laning with an ap hero.
Unless 3 out of 3 (assuming they have 1 support and 1 tank) are ad, you should go merc threads.
If they have 2+ ad chars go ahead and build a sunfire, otherwise go for the spirit visage
Keep in mind that a sunfire improves your farming capabilities a lot.
So itemization so far:
Merc threads, Warmogs, (sunfire), spirit visage
This is where it gets tricky, as the items vary a lot.
If you have an ad carry, and you have no problem with dying in team fights get a starks fervor, otherwise get:
If they have a bloodrazor or heavy ap damage, go ahead and get FoN. Heavy ad would be thornmail.
I would usually go starks now either way, but if you are having serious trouble with surviving go for another defensive item.
The reasons for picking starks are plenty, and I cannot understand why so many guide do not include starks for mundo, it allows him to solo towers rather quickly and at the same time deal quite good damage with his e, even for late game. On top of that it boosts the team.
If somebody else is going starks, feel free to go for another defensive item, otherwise phantom dancer boots your e a lot aswell.
So for a normal game my items would be as following:
Warmogs, Mercs, spirit visage, sunfire, starks, FoN/thornmail

Farming
This is where the big differences are seen on a mundo, here are some key things that you must at all-time remember:
With lvl 1 e you can take the ranged creeps down with 1 turret shot and 1 hit with e
You cannot take ranged creeps down with lvl 1 q tho, not before lvl 2
2 turret shots + lvl 1 q is enough to take down a melee creep.
So if you keep this in mind, you will most likely get 80% of the creeps while sololaning.
Keep in mind that when you aim with your cleaver a target will lit up a bit, this allows you to aim properly at creeps that are hard to hit, you’ll be surprised how easy it is to hit creeps you would never think you could get.
When nobody is on my lane (I usually force my opposing laner to go back) I would activate w and hit each ranged creep with 1 hit of e, this allows you to push extremely fast at lvl 4.
As this build is based on stomping pubs, it’s all about getting farmed up, but keep in mind that if your team direly needs you feel free to help them. Otherwise you’ll be farming until you got warmogs and boots at least.
Tactix
So basicly you will be farming on your lane as long as possible, but when teamfight occour, you need to be the one initiating them.
So assuming you’ve got at least one or two towers down at this point.
At this point you should have at least 4 defensive items aswell.
This is where it gets weird, what you do it simple; you run right into them quite a bit away from your team, keep cleaving the most squishy char you can get your hands on, and eventually they will go on you, you pop ulti instantly. By the time you hit 50% your team should be with you.
As you are already low they will more often than not continue on you, this is the whole point of it, because they won’t take you down.
In case you get in trouble, flash behind your team and sprint away, if they have nuked you that low you’ve done your job and your team has most likely taken them down. Don’t be afraid to hunt down a kill or two either, it’s all about getting yourself fed up.
KEEP IN MIND that versus people who are not braindead, this tactic does not work, but I have yet to meet such people.
KEEP IN MIND that from lvl 1-10 you ARE NOT AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE, which means you will be sitting in the back lasthitting creeps to become AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE!

You’ll be surpriced how stupid people are, but eventually they will figure out that Mundo goes where the fuck he pleases

regardless of enemy team comp you get spirit visage on mundo. it might as well be called mundo visage.

Great guide overall, won't work against most of good players though so it's pretty much a very rookie guide.

As mentioned in the guide. - But really try it out before judging.

I do. Visage is mentioned in the setup aswell.
Reasons for going warmogs and even sunfire before visage is that you are farming the most of the time, meaning you will quickly get your warmogs stacks up making it more useful earlygame. Sunfire improves your farming capabilites ridiculously much.

I didn't mean to discriminate your guide in any ways, it's a really decent one.
