i have alot of 2 color decks but i cannot play any of them, like 10-20 of the cards are greyed out and non-usable in any format..
i havent played in years, did the cards get removed from the game?

Hey so your issue is that there are many different formats in mtga

like magic the gathering now

new cards can be played in old formats but old cards cannot be played in new formats

so there is

Standard: Last two years worth of cards, basically hearthstone.
Alchemy: MTGA only version with cards that have abilities you wouldnt be able to do in real life more or less. Like hearthstone abilities pumping your hand with +1+1 n shit
HIstoric: Historic is all cards in mtga
explorer: Explorer is the same as the paper version for Modern which is all sets after October 2012
commander: you get a commander card and can have 60 or 100 cards but no two cards can be the same except for basic lands. fun format

Your issue exactly is that you are trying to use old cards in a new deck. You can choose whatever setting you want before playing shown below:





you can choose between the ranked or not games and commander, and you can choose the format from the list then play.

If you want to make sure you only get cards that are cards that will work you do this:




when looking at cards select the triple meter button aka settings, then:




select the format you want at the top right,

you can also check the boxes as you go, for example to see all cards in mtga then make sure you check off the box for 'not collected' cards to show

thanks for the in depth examples but this isn't the issue, i already deleted the decks, the cards in the decks are not mine.
they don't exist and were not searchable under anything including not collected. i couldn't play t hem in ranked/unranked/historic/alchemy/standard,
not a single game mode, and once i removed the cards from the deck they were just gone, i tried 5-6 of the cards to search them they don't come up.
it was the dual color decks i unlocked 1 by 1 when the game came out basically.
for example a good chunk of the cards were m19 but even when i searched m19 they wouldn't come up when in the deck/removed with not collected turned on
I'm probably gonna make another account cause it really just puts me behind since i lose out on unlocking so many 2 color decks

you can make decks without owning the cards (importing them) and it'll show up like that. Or just by adding cards to a deck you don't own manually will also achieve this. They have banned cards and like the other user said have rotated formats but one would be red and you said you know for a fact its not a format issue.

there are a lot of formats though so I'm pretty sure the other user is right and its just a format issue. If your settings aren't right you won't even be able to see them in your collection.
