Hey everybody! I am planning on building a Jeskai control deck and yes for commander format all inked paper (no pixels). And yes the commander I want to use is Sevinne, the Chronoclasm unless anybody else thinks other options are a better choice for Jeskai control. Last but not least its going to be heavy control but obviously I will have powerful creatures in the deck for hitting power later on.
General options:
1. 3 talismans or 3 lockets or why not all 6?
2. 1 cmc deck thinners opt, serum visions, faithless looting, slight of hands, etc.
3. All 3 gearhulks (3 best gearhulks obviously)
4. Should I include foretell cards?
5. Should I include cycle cards?
6. Board wipes such as pyroclasm, anger of the gods, wrath of god, supreme verdict, terminus, cyclonic rift, etc.
7. 9 fetchlands (expensive but yeah)
8. All 3 shocks as I want to budget myself from original dual lands and they are on the reserve list (also 3 check lands)
9. 40 or 41 lands?
10. Snapcaster mage of course
11. Counterspell, dovin's veto, force of will, force of negation, etc.
12. What other heavy hitters should I run in this deck? Keranos? Thassa, god of the sea? Thing in the ice? God eternals?
13. Planeswalks such as mind sculptor, hero of dominaria, time raveler, the spirit dragon, the harbinger, narset of the ancient way, etc.?
I know I could have included more but this is a handful of stuff I am looking into. Any advice is welcome. I'm still new to edh and not too familiar with the cookie cutters in that format as I am a modern/pioneer player. Thanks!
