So back in the day me n a few friends got into mtg, and quickly realized how much $$$ it costs to stay competitive in the local game store and just stopped playing.

The friend who had all the cards that we made decks from sold me all his cards for the LOW LOW without looking thru them.... with the promise that I would make a deck of each color, kinda equal in power so we have fun playing, but really the only rules are no proxy cards and 4per card cept basic lands.

Sold some of the bigger hitter cards and have like $125 profit to spend for decks for game night, will 1v1 with random selected decks.

Looking at ballpark tcgplayer prices, trying to make mono color decks around $20 with no limits on what set the cards come from, based around one of these types:

Red: goblins, quick burn, something aggro
Black: tribal zombie/rat, graveyard stuff, murder spells
Green: ramp/big creatures, small creatures grow.ya know, green shit, or tribal elves
White: life gain, flying, angels, soldier tokens
Blue: flying, counters counters counters, draw cards

Something tribal for each color would be sweet, like goblins v elves v soldiers v vampires v merfolk
