ok guys heres an important note: we have the opportunity to take over a guild with 450+ guild points. i would pay for the takeover. the new guild would be called "Only". so your profile/avatar would say Guild: Only

who likes that idea? who thinks its completely stupid? i havent talked to mike about this, dunno how he would feel about it either. he would lead that guild when he returns together with me i suppose, with all of the current admins being admins (as it is right now: mike, josh, jiggz)

here's my thoughts on the matter.

first and most importantly, i have pretty much been in blas forever, and it just seems right. I like the gang.

But the game has changed so much so as to destroy the solo aspect of it, in order to encourage guild play. Well I really have only one other guildie who i can slash with and that won't even fill up a cata. I'm really tired of playing with randos to be honest, it makes climbing the ladder impossible. Do you know how much the stars have to align to get in a semidecent group nowadays?

First you NEED a healer, but for god sakes man, dont have two. And chances, are that healer just won't be enough to keep me interested in playing if he cant keep us alive. So usually I go caster so I can actually climb. Also chances are you have like 1-2 people who have damage that is quite underwhelming. One thing that I constantly find annoying is when I'm trying to get the quests early and I have healer shit on, and I do more melee damage than the rest of the group. It's like click leave instantly.
That being said, a tank is always a plus, but there is never one of those.

I totally find that the only way i can mq nowadays is with a goddamn mage. I have some pretty solid melee damage, but the only way I can ever get a mq in is if its late at night I play with other people who have insomnia. And the insomniacs are usually the best to play with, cuz they're the regulars you get excited to see in your goup.

And another thing people don't realize is the liability of having a hybrid player in your group. What I have realized is that you need out of this world gear to make it effective in a catacomb, but if not, then there's just a whole bunch of damage that you aren't doing that you need to be. Because lets face it, a hybrid fails when it comes to comparing it to a mage or a guardian. No, being hybrid sucks unless you can REALLY afford it. And the rise in popularity has weakened the pool of people who can actually do damage on slasher.

And now that I'm cutting back on the weed smokin, it makes it harder to slash without getting something in return for my efforts. I need to be able to just 1-71 instanly, in a guild cata and actually find shit. Do you know I havent had a decent well drop in over 7 months? Its lame is what it is.

So if you haven't guessed, my biggest draw to JSP in the first place is ladder slasher. I can't do it by myself anymore guys, njag made it so you can't. Turns out everyone has to copy WoW at some gay point. But then I'm like "but I won't find cooler guys around then the blasphemy gang." And then I'm torn.

But in spite of all I have said, I think I'll still hang around for a while. Long enough for my buddy nate (koopk1) to get tired of this game and send me my shit back.

I really feel that if I leave Blasphemy, I want it to be for one of those really upper tier guilds that will really shoot me into another class of slashing. So for now, I am MILDLY content to hang around.

But I would still like to know more about this, because opportunities don't hang around forever.

agree with all whats been said above, and i feel the exact same way. that in fact is the only reason that thought came into my mind, since ls is pretty much the only thing that keeps me @ jsp i want to be able to fully enjoy it. so it hurts that mike cant be here to take part in this discussion, since i dont want him to feel like i was trying to tear this guild apart at all. its just hard the way it is, and that damnet guild vault made it impossible to fully enjoy all aspects of the game without being in a specific ladder slasher guild. so my thoughts were making a guild for ladder slasher (thus Guild: "Only" a ls term for those who wonder) while keeping our tightknit group of mates and for mike to join us as soon as he returns. we just wont have a shitload of slasher joining our guild not being present at least on the first page of the guildlist...

yea..our guild has fallen apart without mike...cuz he was a main ls guy...thats why i think the ggpkkksk guy dident rejoin aswell
