my old hd that blew was 500gb 16 mb cache -- debating on getting another 500gb - or getting a 1tb 32 mb cache for 70$

lol gay, did a lil bit of research on my bricked hd, turns out the hd itself is fine, but there is a bug in the firmware that makes it brick up and not show up on bios or anything else for no reason, just does it randomly @ bootup - guess the brick rate for the drive is 50% :/ think ill stay away from seagate from now on, gonna see if i can flash the bios and save myself 70$ wish me luck

damn seagate lol - saw a way to fix it by buying a dozen diff adapters/plugs then splicing them n etc but looks like to much of a pain in the ass lol and by the time you pay for all the parts you can just get a new hd
