it shouldn't be that bad, im not planning to be infantry or anything so i shouldn't be out fighting unless we go to war with another country right now or something

And ofc I'm from a military family, I'd support just about anyone that wants to join up during wartime or not. While the marines wouldn't be my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th choice, I hope you make it alright and grow some big hairy testicles.

Just for reference my preference would be Airforce -> Navy -> Army -> Coast Guard -> Marines.
