tbh not like dota at all, if you want something similar to dota go with HoN but HoN is terribly unbalanced atm

LoL is balanced (only gets imba sometimes when new heroes are released but that usually gets fixed right away)

you have your hero skills (4 and 1 passive), 2 summoner skills you can choose from, masteries (like a skill tree full of passives) as you level up (more games you play), and runes that grant in-game bonuses like critical strike, life regen, etc
